- Spray your baking dish I use a 9x13 with pam, layer half of the sliced potatoes in pan sprinkle 1/2 of the flour over the potatoes add half your onion and slice the butter into little squares and place over potatoes only using half. Now add your seasonings I never measure this so season to your liking now sprinkle a little of each of your cheeses and repeat this process for next layer then pour milk over the top. Bake uncovered in pre-heated oven for aprox 1 hour or until potatoes are tender. Another variation of this add diced ham with a side of broccoli and you have a complete dinner, Enjoy!
